+ Sew Simple Shirt Sleeves = Zip-Up Jacket
Trace Versailles Front. Mark a new cut line 1/2" (seam allowance) out (toward the center) from the center front line. Insert Separating Zipper. Pockets are window pockets with zipper behind window opening. Collar is a simple rectangle (interfaced) inserted in neck opening. Use same pattern pieces to cut lining and treat as underlining.

Fast & Stylish Tunic
Body is Romantica Blouse - exactly by the pattern but with no facings. Instead I used folded bias, stitched to edge and flipped inside, then stitch to secure. Sleeves are Tsing Tao tunic - right by the pattern.

Basic White with Flare
The body is right by the Barcelona Blouse pattern - made in White Batiste. The side panels and center back are 2 layers - the front (for buttons) is 3 layers of batiste. The sleeves are right by the Romantica pattern, but I added a 1/2" casing at the joining seam and inserted elastic for a little more fluff. The collar is the Barcelona collar but I reshaped from the shoulder to the center front for a curve so I could insert a ruffle at the outer edge.

A Shirt from your Stash!
Body is the Basic Long Sleeve Shirt - with no darts. The neckline was opened 1/4 inch - this was done after the facing was stitched in place - just stitch inside an additional 1/4", using the original stitching as a guide. Sleeves are Basic Short Sleeve Shirt. All fabric was pieced before cutting garment - it is just rectangles with a long fabric insert (red) for accent. Covered buttons match the red accent strip.

Sew Simple Shirt Sleeves

Double Front Elegance
The body is the Basic Short Sleeve (which is a lapel front). Trace the shirt front. Draw a line straight down from the point of the lapel - parallel with the grainline. This is the new cut edge and will add 1/4" to both of the front pieces, providing sufficient room for a double row of covered buttons. Sleeves and Collar are the Sew Simple Shirt - right by pattern.
