Chinese Coins

Chinese Replica Coins

6 coins per pack
It's all about the embellishment :-) These chinese coins are 1" diameter with a square hole in the center. Made of brass that has been aged to resemble antique bronze, these coins are hand-washable, so are perfect for sewing on your next wearable art project.

6 Colors - 1 yard each
(Colors may vary, but mix will be bright colors: yellow, green, red, blue, etc.)
What is Soutache? Remember the gold trim on military uniforms and costumes? That's Soutache. It can be a fabulous decorative trim applied to the surface of a fabric, but it also makes wonderful button loops. This is one of my favoite sewing supplies. Here are instructions on how to use as a buttonloop.

Easy Patchwork Jackets

Easy Patchwork Jackets - (published by House of White Birches) Stitch 9 jackets using a variety of quilt techniques! Each of the designs in this book use an existing pattern (commercial or from a specific designer) and the design provides an alternate project using that pattern. The project in the book tells you which pattern you would need to purchase. The projects could also be adapted to patterns that you might already have as they are very easy and fun techniques. For example the red jacket above is called the Stitch & Flip Jacket in the book - but is uses my Mt. Fuji Jacket Pattern. Brensan Studios is one of the designers - and I have 2 jackets in the book. The rust jacket above is called the Stack & Cut Squares Jacket and uses my Quarter Circle Jacket Pattern. The book has 9 projects by 6 designers.

My Favorite Suppliers - and What I Order from Them

Atlanta Thread - Serger Cone Thread, Gutermann General Purpose Thread (they have large spools that are very economical) and Zippers - fabulous prices on zippers

Denver Fabrics - they have Apparel, Bridal, Dance, Decor Fabric and a lot more

Drafting Supplies - this is a great place to get my favorite tracing paper/vellum. The brand I like is Thumbnail by Borden & Riley and it is available in clear or in canary. I use the clear. It is available in 12", 18" and 24" wide rolls.

Elliott Berman Textiles - fabulous designer quality fabrics. Cottons, Silks, Knits, Lace and much more. They do have a sample program, too.

The Fabric Club - Enter the Store, then at top left, click on fabrics

Fashion Fabrics Club - great closeouts on garment industry fabrics. Click Apparel, then explore from there - make sure and check out the Knits if you like sewing with stretch fabric.

Gorgeous Fabrics - another great online source for garment industry fabrics. They have an extensive section for Stretch.

Sew Sassy Fabrics - this is a fabulous place for anything related to lingerie. I like to make tricot slips for my stretch skirts/dresses and I like all my slips to have wide elastic lace and they have a great selection. They also have clear swim elastic and picot edge elastic which is very nice around the necklines of stretch tops.
