Do you know anything about Mathew Reisinger? I am looking for information about a Anna Reisinger (1874-1930). There is mention of a Mathew in family records, but no information about his relationship to Anna or any of his family. I believe he may have been her father. Anna married Andrew J Sartore. They were from the Evansville, IN area. Anna is buried in the St. Joseph Cemetary.

Hi! Cousin, My ggrandmother was Christina to your John, both children of Peter and Teresa. I am delighted to find someone on same line. I don't have that much but would be happy to share. Would love to know more. My grandmother and her father William Wunderlich lived with John at their boarding house after Christina died. William died not too many years later. Looking forward to hearing from you. Jennie Rose

I have been to St. Joseph"s Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana where Peter and 40 plus Reisingers are buried. I also am a Reisinger. My grandmother was Theresa, daughter of Jacob and Nancy (Anna) Reisinger of Posey County, just north of Evansville. They had a farm and some of the family (13 children) lived in Evansville. I will collect my info and send it to you if so needed. There are so many Reisingers there with the same names that it is very difficult to keep them all straight. I visit there every spring & fall to do research. During my last two visits I read wills at the Willard Library, a wonderful source of info.
Reisinger - General Followup (found on genealogy.com surname list)
I have been trying to locate any information on my gr-gr grandparents. Anton Eichbichler (Aichbichler) married Anna Reisinger in Laporte, IN. She came over on a ship the Lueneburg with her parents arriving in NY in Oct. 1854. Her father and a child died on the voyage. Anton arrived the week before and they married in November 1854. They only had one son that I know of, John. Anton died in 1860 and I have no trace of Anna after that. I've had them on the back burner. Please let me know if you have any information on this elusive family. Thanks, Lydia

Mary Magdelena - Peter - Germany (Posting from ancestry surname list)
I just saw your message and you are correct Mary Magdelena is Peter Reisinger Eva Schmahl's 3rd child, 2nd daughter. Yes Peter's Father was Johann "John" Nicholas who married Eva Uber after Her 1st husband Lawrence Schmahl had passed on. You see Lawrence Nicholas were friends in Germany and Lawrence came here 1st with his wife children he told Nicholas about the "New World" so Nicholas and his oldest son Johannes Peter came here to York County in 1749. Peters wife was the daughter of Eva Uber Lawrence Schmahl. I am still trying to connect one of Peter's sons to my lineage that starts from the newer end and works toward the 1749's. I have a GG Grandfather that I have not connected. He must be from one of Peter's sons, just don't know which one yet.He was born 10/15/1835, died 12/06/1905, married Christianna Barnes (Barens) 09/03/1857. Her birth 12/30/1837--02/11/1917(?).

I am a descendant of Maria Magdalena Reissenger and Frederick Laumeister's son, John Lowmaster who married Anna Amelia Schultz in 1808 in York,PA. I would like to find out if her FATHER is Johannes Peter Reisinger who married Eva Schmahl about 1754 in PA. I am a member of DAR and am trying to find proof about this. Frederick Laumeister's father, Wendell Laumeister's will named (Yohannes)Peter Reisinger as executor of his will which was probated on November 8, 1797. Peter Reisenger didn't die until May 24, 1798. Peter's will was probated not until October 23, 1801. It did not name the three daughters. This is the best proof I can find of relationship. I have also seen a Martin Reisinger who had a family in York during that time. (Email sent 2/12/08)

Agnes 34 Hungary Hungary Hungary
Anna A. 11 Ohio Hungary Hungary
Mary D. 7 Ohio Hungary Hungary
I know this is her father. Her parents retired to St. Petersburg, and then it would make sense that her mother came back to Ohio and died there.
